Axel's take: 7.8/10

A good family base with generous space, but uneven upkeep and elevator headaches. a practical 4-star all-suite hotel in Streeterville, scored for what it is.

This practical 4-star all-suite hotel is a good pick for families who value space and sightseeing convenience over polished interiors. Its roomy suites, included made-to-order breakfast and evening reception make a useful package. Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise the walkable location and helpful staff; recent reviews remain broadly positive about comfort and cleanliness.

The trade-offs are breakfast queues, recurring elevator delays and uneven bathroom upkeep—not universal problems, but worth weighing. Hilton lists lobby, public-space and elevator renovations with estimated completion in the third quarter of 2027; confirm current disruption before booking. A mandatory destination charge and paid parking also weaken the value. We'd choose it for a family city break, but skip it for a quiet, polished four-star escape.

• Best for: families needing suite space; first-time Chicago sightseers; travelers who value included breakfast

• Watch out for: elevator delays and renovation uncertainty; breakfast queues and uneven bathroom upkeep; mandatory destination charge and paid parking

• Location: Walkable Streeterville base near Michigan Avenue, the Riverwalk and Navy Pier.

• Rooms: Spacious, comfortable suites; dated finishes and bathroom maintenance draw recurring criticism.

• Cleanliness: Generally praised in recent Expedia reviews, with some housekeeping and bathroom exceptions.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff earn frequent praise, though occasional service lapses remain.

• Amenities: Included breakfast and evening reception, indoor pool and fitness center; breakfast can be crowded.

• Fees and surprises: Mandatory destination charge and paid self-parking; Hilton lists lobby/public-space and elevator work for completion in Q3 2027.
