Axel's take: 7.0/10

Good central value and Moroccan character, but tired rooms need realistic expectations. a budget 3-star city hotel with traditional Moroccan decor, scored for what it is.

Moroccan House is a budget 3-star city hotel, not an intimate riad, despite its ornate Moroccan interiors. We'd consider it for a short, inexpensive Casablanca stop: Casa Port, the Central Market and tram stops are within walking reach. Expedia and Trip.com guests repeatedly praise the welcoming staff, while breakfast earns plenty of positive mentions. The decoration gives it more personality than a basic chain hotel.

The compromise is condition. Recent reviews across Tripadvisor and Trip.com describe dated furniture and rooms needing maintenance; cleanliness feedback is more favorable overall, but not consistent. Bathrooms attract occasional drainage complaints, and some guests find rooms dark. It's a reasonable base if location and character matter more than polish. We'd skip it for a special occasion or if reliably fresh, modern rooms are essential.

• Best for: budget-minded city explorers; short stays near Casa Port; travelers who enjoy traditional decor

• Watch out for: dated rooms and uneven maintenance; variable housekeeping feedback; breakfast and city tax may be extra

• Location: Central, walkable to Casa Port and the Central Market, with tram stops nearby.

• Rooms: Characterful traditional interiors, but recurring reports of tired furnishings and maintenance issues.

• Cleanliness: Generally acceptable aggregate scores, though individual experiences vary.

• Service: Friendly, helpful reception staff are a recurring strength across guest-review sites.

• Amenities: Free Wi-Fi, elevator and restaurant; the hotel also advertises spa treatments.

• Fees and surprises: City tax is payable locally; check breakfast inclusion. Expedia also lists in-room safe and late-checkout charges.
