Axel's take: 6.7/10

Good space and location, but housekeeping and maintenance need more consistency. a simple mid-range aparthotel in central Gauthier, scored for what it is.

Mid Town is a simple mid-range aparthotel in Gauthier, better suited to travelers wanting space and a central base than polished hotel service. Apartment-style rooms with kitchenettes are its main draw, alongside nearby restaurants and shops. Booking.com and Expedia guests generally rate the location and staff above the facilities. We'd consider it for a practical city stay, with expectations kept modest.

The drawback is consistency: recent reviews across sites mention uneven cleaning, missing towels, faulty air conditioning and disappointing breakfast, alongside plenty of satisfactory stays. A July 2026 guest reported extensive hotel renovation work and an unavailable gym; completion is unconfirmed, despite the official site's fitness listing. Other guests describe late-night banging. We'd skip it for a reliably quiet, fuss-free stay, and confirm construction, gym access and parking before booking.

• Best for: space-conscious city travelers; travelers prioritizing Gauthier's restaurants; independent stays with a kitchenette

• Watch out for: inconsistent housekeeping and maintenance; late-night noise and reported renovation work; gym and parking availability need confirmation

• Location: Central Gauthier is the strongest selling point, convenient for restaurants, shops and the Twin Center.

• Rooms: Generously sized apartment-style rooms; recent guests report recurring air-conditioning and bathroom maintenance issues.

• Cleanliness: Many satisfactory reports, but dirty linen, odors and incomplete cleaning recur across recent reviews.

• Service: Staff often earn praise for friendliness; problem handling and booking reliability are less consistent.

• Amenities: Kitchenettes, Wi-Fi and breakfast are listed; the advertised gym was reported unavailable in 2026.

• Fees and surprises: City tax applies; breakfast and airport transfers can cost extra. Confirm parking and whether reported renovations have ended.
