Axel's take: 6.7/10

Choose it for the Corniche location, not dependable four-star polish. An independent seafront 4-star with uneven standards, scored for what it is.

Hotel Azur is an independent seafront 4-star on Casablanca’s lively Ain Diab Corniche, and we’d treat it as a location-first choice rather than a polished retreat. Ocean views, nearby restaurants and beach walks are the draw. Booking.com guests rate location and staff above the facilities, while several Expedia guests praise welcoming service and clean rooms. It can work for a short coastal stay if you keep expectations realistic.

The catch is consistency: reports of refreshed rooms sit alongside complaints about worn furniture and bathrooms. The advertised nightclub also makes this a cautious choice for light sleepers; older Tripadvisor reviews describe disruptive music. Guests reported pool-area renovations and closed restaurants and swimming facilities in July 2025, but their current status is unconfirmed. Check directly before booking if the pool matters. We’d skip it for a quiet getaway or reliable four-star finish.

• Best for: Travelers prioritizing the Corniche; Short stays near beaches and restaurants

• Watch out for: Uneven room condition; Nightclub noise risk; Confirm pool and restaurant availability

• Location: Seafront Ain Diab setting, strongest for coastal walks, restaurants and nightlife.

• Rooms: Air-conditioned rooms, some with ocean views; guest reports differ on upkeep and refurbishment.

• Cleanliness: Generally stronger than the facilities ratings, though individual experiences vary.

• Service: Helpful, welcoming staff earn repeated praise, but service is not uniformly dependable.

• Amenities: Pool, dining and nightlife are advertised; July 2025 guests reported renovation-related closures.

• Fees and surprises: City tax applies; check breakfast inclusion, and expect charges for airport transfers.
