Axel's take: 6.8/10

Excellent sightseeing location, but uneven rooms make this a cautious pick. An older downtown 4-star with simpler comforts than its rating suggests, scored for what it is.

Unique Executive Central now operates as Midtown Boutique Hotel, an older downtown 4-star whose strongest selling point is its position beside the Obelisco and near Teatro Colón. We'd consider it for a short, sightseeing-heavy stay rather than a hotel-centered break. Expedia and Booking.com guest feedback frequently praises the convenient location and friendly reception staff; breakfast also earns positive mentions. Overall booking-site ratings are stronger than its older Tripadvisor reputation.

The catch is inconsistency: recent guests still describe dated fittings, noisy rooms, tired bedding and occasional heating or air-conditioning failures. Cleanliness earns plenty of praise, but housekeeping and maintenance complaints recur across sites. Guests reported disruptive renovation work in 2025; completion isn't clearly confirmed, so ask before booking. We'd skip it if dependable four-star polish, quiet sleep or reliable room facilities matter more than being central.

• Best for: Sightseeing-focused short stays; Theatergoers prioritizing location

• Watch out for: Uneven room condition and maintenance; Noise and temperature-control complaints; Confirm renovation status before arrival

• Location: Excellent for the Obelisco, Teatro Colón, Corrientes theaters and public transport.

• Rooms: Comfort varies; recent feedback mentions dated fittings, noise and inconsistent temperature control.

• Cleanliness: Generally positive booking-site feedback, tempered by recurring housekeeping and worn-linen complaints.

• Service: Reception often earns praise, though resolving maintenance problems appears less consistent.

• Amenities: Free Wi-Fi, 24-hour reception and breakfast; breakfast inclusion depends on the booking.

• Fees and surprises: Look for the Midtown Boutique Hotel name; confirm breakfast inclusion and whether renovation work remains.
