#7 of 9 hotels in Palermo Soho by Axel's take. Palermo Soho is #6 of 9 places to stay in Buenos Aires. The best hotels in Palermo Soho, ranked · Where to stay in Buenos Aires

Axel's take: 7.0/10

A practical Palermo base, but location outshines comfort and upkeep. a budget hostel with private en-suite rooms in Palermo, scored for what it is.

Art Factory Soho is a budget hostel with private en-suite rooms, not a full-service hotel. We'd consider it for a short, inexpensive Palermo stay: restaurants, shops and Plaza Italia subway are within easy walking distance. The official site lists air-conditioned rooms, original murals, a terrace and shared kitchen. Booking.com and Expedia ratings point to a generally satisfactory stay, with location and helpful staff stronger than facilities.

The compromises are inconsistent upkeep, small bathrooms and noise. Recent guests range from enthusiastic repeat-stay praise to complaints about weak heating and cleanliness; a January 2026 Expedia review also reports cockroaches. Reception has limited hours, so arrange your arrival and access code beforehand. We'd skip it for a quiet retreat, dependable round-the-clock assistance or consistently polished rooms, and confirm breakfast rather than assume it's included.

  • Best for: budget travelers wanting a private bathroom; short Palermo sightseeing stays; independent travelers comfortable with self-check-in

  • Watch out for: street and corridor noise; uneven upkeep and cleanliness; limited reception; arrange access ahead

  • Location: Walkable Palermo setting near restaurants and shops; Plaza Italia subway is about five minutes away.

  • Rooms: Private bathrooms, air conditioning and murals; bathroom size, heating and sound insulation draw complaints.

  • Cleanliness: Overall ratings are acceptable, but recent negative reports include cleanliness problems and one cockroach account.

  • Service: Helpful staff earn praise, but limited reception hours can complicate arrivals and problem handling.

  • Amenities: Terrace, shared kitchen and free Wi-Fi; no elevator or on-site parking.

  • Fees and surprises: Breakfast is optional; airport transfers and early or late checkout cost extra; confirm payment terms directly.
