#5 of 9 hotels in Palace Quarter & Józsefváros by Axel's take. Palace Quarter & Józsefváros is #3 of 8 places to stay in Budapest. The best hotels in Palace Quarter & Józsefváros, ranked · Where to stay in Budapest

Axel's take: 8.9/10

A strong-value Budapest base with excellent breakfast and reliably praised staff. A small 3-star superior city hotel in central Pest, scored for what it is.

Three Corners Hotel Art is a small 3-star superior in central Pest, and we'd put it high on the shortlist for a sightseeing break. Its location near Kálvin tér makes walking and public transport easy, while recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the cleanliness, helpful staff and generous breakfast. It's strong on the basics that matter at this level, with good value rather than luxury the draw.

The main compromise is space: some rooms, showers and storage areas feel tight, so check your category carefully. The street is generally described as quiet, though occasional corridor and neighboring-room noise gets mentioned. Complimentary lounge coffee and a sauna add useful extras. We'd choose it for couples and independent explorers, but skip it if sprawling rooms or extensive leisure facilities are priorities.

  • Best for: Couples on sightseeing breaks; Car-free city explorers; Travelers who appreciate a good breakfast

  • Watch out for: Some compact rooms and showers; Occasional noise between rooms; No on-site parking

  • Location: Walkable central Pest, close to Kálvin tér transport and the Great Market Hall.

  • Rooms: Comfortable beds and well-kept interiors; room size and storage vary by category.

  • Cleanliness: Consistently strong praise across recent Tripadvisor and Expedia reviews.

  • Service: Welcoming, helpful staff are a recurring strength in recent guest feedback.

  • Amenities: Buffet breakfast, Finnish sauna, relaxation room, honesty bar and complimentary lounge coffee.

  • Fees and surprises: Check breakfast inclusion; city tax and airport transfers can cost extra, and parking is unavailable.
