#6 of 8 hotels in City Park & Heroes' Square by Axel's take. City Park & Heroes' Square is #8 of 8 places to stay in Budapest. The best hotels in City Park & Heroes' Square, ranked · Where to stay in Budapest
Axel's take: 7.9/10
A practical Budapest base with helpful staff, but rooms need careful choosing. a simple 3-star near Keleti station, scored for what it is.
Star is a simple 3-star near Keleti station, and we'd pick it for a good-value city break rather than a hotel-focused stay. Recent Tripadvisor, Booking.com and Expedia guests repeatedly praise helpful reception staff and clean rooms. The station and metro are roughly a ten-minute walk away, with useful public transport outside. Breakfast generally does the job, and family rooms make it practical for small groups.
The compromises are room size and finish: singles are especially compact, while recent guests describe dated decor and cramped showers in some rooms. Soundproofing also draws complaints, and breakfast quality gets mixed reactions despite plenty of praise for the selection. We'd skip it if you're a light sleeper, want consistently modern interiors, or expect the main sightseeing streets on your doorstep.
