Axel's take: 8.4/10

A strong roadside stop for clean rooms and friendly service, with highway-noise caveats. a straightforward, limited-service Hampton beside I-65, scored for what it is.

This is a straightforward, limited-service Hampton beside I-65, and we'd pick it for a comfortable stopover or a Birmingham visit with a car. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise clean, refreshed rooms, comfortable beds and genuinely helpful staff. Free hot breakfast, parking and Wi-Fi make it good value for travelers who want the basics done well, rather than a full-service hotel experience.

The main compromise is the interstate: some guests sleep well, but others report disruptive traffic noise, so request a room facing away from it. This is also a driving base, not a walkable city-center stay. Several spring 2026 reviews reported elevator trouble; confirm repairs if stairs would be difficult. We'd skip it for a car-free trip or if guaranteed quiet is essential.

  • Best for: I-65 road-trip stopovers; Families traveling by car; Short Birmingham business trips

  • Watch out for: Traffic noise in interstate-facing rooms; Car-dependent location; Elevator problems reported in spring 2026

  • Location: Convenient interstate access, with dining and shopping nearby; better explored by car than on foot.

  • Rooms: Recent guests describe refreshed, comfortable rooms; request the side away from I-65.

  • Cleanliness: A consistent strength across recent Tripadvisor, Expedia and Booking.com feedback.

  • Service: Friendly, helpful front-desk staff receive repeated praise across sites.

  • Amenities: Hilton confirms free hot breakfast, Wi-Fi, parking, an outdoor pool, fitness center and EV charging.

  • Fees and surprises: Pets incur a nonrefundable fee; EV charging carries vendor charges; confirm elevator repairs if accessibility matters.
