#2 of 9 hotels in Charlottenburg & Kurfürstendamm by Axel's take. Charlottenburg & Kurfürstendamm is #6 of 12 places to stay in Berlin. The best hotels in Charlottenburg & Kurfürstendamm, ranked · Where to stay in Berlin

Axel's take: 8.8/10

Distinctive design and genuinely warm service make this a strong City West pick. an upscale design boutique hotel just off Berlin’s Kurfürstendamm, scored for what it is.

Hotel Q! is an upscale design boutique hotel whose appeal goes beyond its sculpted interiors. It’s a strong pick for a Charlottenburg stay: restaurants, shopping and rail connections are close, while Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise helpful staff, comfortable beds and thorough cleaning. Breakfast earns unusually consistent compliments, and the Thai restaurant and small spa give this 77-room property more substance than looks alone.

The trade-offs are practical. Standard rooms are compact, and open bathroom areas suit couples better than privacy-conscious sharers. Several 2026 Tripadvisor guests report warm rooms because cooling only operated above an outdoor-temperature threshold; confirm arrangements if you sleep hot. The small gym also requires planning, with guests reporting single-user reservations. We’d skip it if enclosed bathrooms, spacious rooms or dependable workout access matter most.

  • Best for: design-minded couples; Charlottenburg shopping and dining; business travelers wanting personal service

  • Watch out for: open bathroom areas; reported temperature-dependent cooling; limited gym access

  • Location: Just off Ku’damm, with restaurants and walkable U-Bahn and S-Bahn connections.

  • Rooms: Standard doubles are 20 square meters; open bathing areas have separate toilets, and twin beds are unavailable.

  • Cleanliness: Strong scores across Booking.com and Expedia, reinforced by recent guest praise.

  • Service: Warm, helpful staff are a recurring strength across Tripadvisor, Booking.com and Expedia.

  • Amenities: Thai restaurant, bar, courtyard and small spa; sauna and steam room operate in the evening.

  • Fees and surprises: Parking is paid and limited; July 2026 roadworks were reported, but their current status is unconfirmed.
