#3 of 4 hotels in Hastings by Axel's take. Hastings is #3 of 6 places to stay in Barbados. The best hotels in Hastings, ranked · Where to stay in Barbados

Axel's take: 8.2/10

A strong beachfront pick for relaxed holidays, provided you can manage stairs. a family-run 3-star beachfront hotel on Barbados’ south coast, scored for what it is.

Coconut Court is a family-run 3-star beachfront hotel that delivers where it counts: clean rooms, friendly people and an appealing stretch of sand. Recent Expedia guests repeatedly praise the housekeeping and staff, while Tripadvisor reviewers highlight spacious rooms and the relaxed atmosphere. We'd choose it for an uncomplicated beach holiday rather than polished resort luxury. Ocean-facing balconies and basic kitchen facilities make the main hotel particularly practical.

Choose your room category carefully: the landside apartments are across the busy road, not on the beach, and traffic noise crops up in reviews. There are no elevators and plenty of steps, including down toward the beach, so we'd skip it for anyone needing step-free access. Food and drinks draw some value complaints, though nearby restaurants offer alternatives. Book an oceanfront category if the view matters.

  • Best for: couples wanting relaxed beach days; independent south-coast explorers; travelers who appreciate in-room kitchen facilities

  • Watch out for: no elevators and numerous steps; landside apartments across the busy road; traffic noise in some rooms

  • Location: Beachfront in Hastings, close to the South Coast Boardwalk and nearby restaurants.

  • Rooms: Spacious, practical accommodation; oceanfront, partial-view and landside categories differ substantially.

  • Cleanliness: A consistent strength across guest feedback, including recent Expedia reviews.

  • Service: Friendly, helpful staff receive frequent praise; some guests report slower restaurant service.

  • Amenities: Outdoor pool, beach loungers, restaurants, beach bar and free Wi-Fi; pool hours end in the early evening.

  • Fees and surprises: Expedia lists a tourism levy and incidental deposit; breakfast costs extra unless included in your booking.
