#2 of 3 hotels in Rockley & Worthing by Axel's take. Rockley & Worthing is #2 of 6 places to stay in Barbados. The best hotels in Rockley & Worthing, ranked · Where to stay in Barbados

Axel's take: 8.4/10

Generous beachfront studios and excellent housekeeping, but check the elevator before booking. A small, mid-range beachfront aparthotel with ocean-facing studios, scored for what it is.

Coral Sands is a small, mid-range beachfront aparthotel, not a full-service resort. It’s a strong pick for travelers who want space and self-catering: the hotel lists 690-square-foot studios with kitchenettes and ocean-facing balconies. Recent Expedia, Booking.com and Tripadvisor feedback repeatedly praises cleanliness, sea views and helpful staff. Walkable groceries and restaurants make longer stays practical.

The trade-offs are traditional decor, dated bathrooms and a small pool; guests also mention early sunbed reservations and evening music from neighboring The Sands. More importantly, elevator renovations are underway: Expedia lists August 17, 2026–June 30, 2027, and an October guest confirms it was not working. We’d skip upper floors if stairs are difficult, and look elsewhere for contemporary polish or guaranteed quiet.

Best for: Couples wanting beachfront self-catering; Longer stays near groceries and restaurants; Travelers prioritizing space over modern decor
Watch out for: Elevator renovation and uncertain reopening; Evening music from neighboring The Sands; Early reservations of pool loungers
Location: Directly on Worthing Beach, with groceries, restaurants and buses within walking distance.
Rooms: Spacious ocean-facing studios with kitchenettes and balconies; traditional furnishings and some dated bathrooms.
Cleanliness: A consistent strength: Booking.com scores cleanliness 9.0, while Expedia reports 9.6.
Service: Recent guests repeatedly praise friendly reception staff and thorough housekeeping.
Amenities: Small outdoor pool, poolside bar, restaurant, free Wi-Fi and free parking; not a large-resort facilities package.
Fees and surprises: Mandatory room levy payable at the hotel; breakfast costs extra. Confirm elevator availability directly before booking.
