Axel's take: 8.5/10

A strong riverside pick for pool time and ICONSIAM, with some room-condition trade-offs. a modern 4-star riverside hotel near ICONSIAM, scored for what it is.

The Quarter Chaophraya is a modern 4-star riverside hotel that makes a strong case for staying on Bangkok’s Khlong San side. Its large pool, gardens and walkable access to ICONSIAM are the main draws. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the welcoming staff, while Booking.com’s overall ratings support a generally comfortable, clean stay. We'd pick it for a relaxed base with shopping and river transport nearby rather than full-service luxury.

Room choice matters: river views vary, and passing boats can be audible. Recent Trip.com guests also flag uneven housekeeping, dampness and maintenance issues, although the broader feedback remains positive. Expedia records construction noise in February 2026; whether that work continues is unclear, so check before booking. We'd skip it if dependable silence and immaculate room condition are your top priorities.

• Best for: couples wanting a riverside base; families who prioritize pool time; ICONSIAM shoppers

• Watch out for: boat noise and variable river views; uneven housekeeping and room maintenance; confirm status of previously reported construction

• Location: Riverside in Khlong San, within walking distance of ICONSIAM and the Gold Line.

• Rooms: Modern rooms and suites; confirm the exact view, with some recent reports of dampness and wear.

• Cleanliness: Strong overall ratings, tempered by several recent reports of missed cleaning details.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff are a consistent strength across Tripadvisor and Expedia.

• Amenities: Large outdoor pool, gardens, gym, dining, massage services and an on-site convenience store.

• Fees and surprises: Check breakfast inclusion and final taxes; the official rate policy excludes service charge and tax.
