Axel's take: 9.1/10

A strong central luxury pick, distinguished by thoughtful service and excellent dining. a five-star city hotel on central Bangalore’s Residency Road, scored for what it is.

The Ritz-Carlton, Bangalore is a five-star city hotel whose strongest asset is its people. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise personalized attention, careful housekeeping and generous breakfast spreads; spacious rooms and multiple restaurants make it a strong pick for business trips or celebrations. The outdoor pool, spa and gym round out a convincing luxury offering.

The trade-off is an urban hotel rather than a sprawling resort. Some guests find the common areas compact, and an October 2026 reviewer thought some rooms looked outdated despite otherwise excellent comfort and service. We'd choose it for attentive hospitality and central convenience, but skip it if expansive grounds or consistently fresh-looking interiors matter more. Airport transfers cost extra, so confirm arrangements before arrival.

• Best for: business travelers staying centrally; couples celebrating an occasion; travelers prioritizing dining and service

• Watch out for: some rooms look dated; compact common areas rather than resort grounds; paid airport transfers

• Location: Central Residency Road address, convenient for downtown shopping and dining; the airport is approximately 42 kilometers away.

• Rooms: Spacious even in entry categories, though some recent guests consider the décor dated.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength: Expedia rates cleanliness 9.8/10, supported by recent housekeeping praise.

• Service: Personal attention is the clearest recurring strength across Tripadvisor and Expedia, with occasional lapses rather than a broad negative pattern.

• Amenities: Outdoor pool, spa, gym, multiple restaurants and the BANG rooftop bar provide substantial on-site choice.

• Fees and surprises: Self-parking and valet parking are complimentary; airport transfers are chargeable, with differing published charges worth confirming directly.
