Hotels in BangaloreA simple 3-star aparthotel near Brigade Road
7.7/10
A useful central base with generous space, but maintenance needs more consistency.
Olive Magrath is a simple 3-star aparthotel, and we'd pick it for central Bengaluru convenience rather than polished hotel facilities. Garuda Mall and Brigade Road are close by, while studios and one-bedroom apartments offer more breathing room than a basic hotel room. Tripadvisor and Booking.com guests repeatedly praise the helpful staff, comfortable accommodation and walkable location. It's a good-value base for business trips or a few days exploring the city.
The catch is uneven upkeep: recent reviews mention faulty taps, hot-water problems and broken amenities, although many others describe clean, comfortable stays. An Expedia guest reported a lift breakdown in August 2026. Guests also reported building renovations and nearby roadworks in early 2026; their current status is unclear. Confirm lift access, balcony availability and construction before booking. We'd skip it if dependable accessibility or consistently well-maintained facilities matter more than location and space.
Axel's opinion, from the hotel's website and recent guest reviews, scored for what the hotel is. Sources: Hotel website · Booking.com · Expedia · Tripadvisor · Google · en.planetofhotels.com. Reviewed Oct 10, 2026.

Location: Close to Garuda Mall, Brigade Road, shops and restaurants; a practical central base.
Rooms: Standard rooms, studios and one-bedroom apartments; kitchenettes are available in some categories.
Cleanliness: Generally praised, but recent feedback includes housekeeping lapses; consistency could be better.
Service: Helpful, welcoming staff are a recurring strength, despite occasional slow responses.
Amenities: Free Wi-Fi, a community kitchen and limited parking; breakfast is available.
Fees and surprises: Breakfast may cost extra; confirm lift operation and whether renovation work affects balconies or outdoor areas.
