Axel's take: 7.6/10

Good apartment space and free parking, but beds and nearby building work deserve caution. A practical 4-star apartment hotel in Newmarket, scored for what it is.

The Edgerley Suites is a practical 4-star apartment hotel, not a full-service luxury stay. We'd consider it for families and longer visits: kitchens, washing machines and dryers make self-catering straightforward, and free secure parking is a genuine advantage. Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise the generous space and easy access to Newmarket's shops and restaurants.

The catch is inconsistent comfort. Recent guests across both sites mention very hard or uncomfortable beds and stained carpets, although many still report clean, well-equipped apartments and helpful staff. September 2026 reviews also report construction next door, with noise serious enough to prompt one room change. Ask about the current work and room position before booking. We'd skip it if soft beds, spotless finishes or dependable daytime quiet matter more than space and practical value.

• Best for: Families wanting self-catering space; Longer stays with laundry needs; Drivers visiting Newmarket

• Watch out for: Nearby construction noise and dust; Recurring complaints about hard beds; Stained carpets in some apartments

• Location: Convenient for Westfield Newmarket, restaurants and transport; outside the downtown core.

• Rooms: Spacious apartment layouts with balconies; bed comfort and furnishings draw mixed feedback.

• Cleanliness: Mostly positive overall, but stained carpets recur in recent reviews.

• Service: Staff are often praised as helpful; arrange after-hours arrival in advance.

• Amenities: Full kitchens, in-unit laundry, free Wi-Fi, a lift and free secure parking are the main strengths.

• Fees and surprises: Expedia lists a credit-card surcharge; nearby construction was reported in September 2026.
