Knights Inn is a comfortable Epsom motel, not a luxury hotel despite some room names. We'd pick it for hospital visits, showground events or a practical Auckland stopover. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests consistently praise clean rooms, comfortable beds and accommodating hosts. Free parking and kitchenettes in most units make it particularly useful for travelers driving themselves.

The trade-offs are mainly location and room choice. You're outside downtown, and a road-facing room can be noisy, although many guests describe surprisingly quiet stays; request a rear unit if sensitive. Loft rooms lack the cooking facilities offered in the studios. We'd skip it for a downtown sightseeing trip on foot, but it's a strong, good-value choice when Epsom is where you need to be.
