#7 of 8 hotels in Newmarket by Axel's take. Newmarket is #5 of 10 places to stay in Auckland. The best hotels in Newmarket, ranked · Where to stay in Auckland
Axel's take: 6.8/10
Useful for Newmarket and free parking, but housekeeping needs more consistency. a basic 3-star hotel near Newmarket, scored for what it is.
Boulevard is a basic 3-star hotel near Newmarket: a practical budget base rather than somewhere to linger. We'd consider it for a short stay when shopping, transport and free parking matter most. Booking.com rates it good overall, while Expedia guests frequently praise comfortable beds, clean rooms and helpful staff. The communal kitchen and laundry add useful everyday conveniences.
The catch is inconsistent upkeep. Recent Tripadvisor and Google reviews describe missing towels or utensils, patchy replenishment and poorly presented common areas, even when bedrooms are comfortable. That makes it a qualified value pick, not a dependable all-rounder. Reception has limited hours, so arrange late arrival beforehand; Expedia also lists a credit-card surcharge. We'd skip it if spotless shared spaces, attentive housekeeping or round-the-clock assistance are priorities.
-
