#4 of 9 hotels in Glyfada & Athens Riviera by Axel's take. Glyfada & Athens Riviera is #9 of 9 places to stay in Athens. The best hotels in Glyfada & Athens Riviera, ranked · Where to stay in Athens

Axel's take: 8.4/10

Warm service and excellent food make this Riviera boutique appealing, but check construction first. a five-star boutique hotel near the beach in Vouliagmeni, scored for what it is.

The Margi is a five-star boutique hotel in Vouliagmeni, a short walk from the beach rather than directly on it. It's a strong pick for a Riviera break built around good food, attentive service and poolside downtime. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the welcoming staff, comfortable beds and breakfast; Booking.com's strong cleanliness ratings reinforce the picture of a well-kept hotel.

The caveats matter at this level. Entry rooms are compact at 22 square meters, and some guests dislike the open bathroom layouts. More importantly, 2026 reviews on Tripadvisor and Tablet report noisy construction next door, including an October stay: ask which rooms are affected before committing. Pool-facing rooms can also catch late restaurant noise. We'd skip it for guaranteed quiet or a sightseeing-first Athens stay.

  • Best for: couples seeking a Riviera break; food-focused travelers; travelers who value personal service

  • Watch out for: neighboring construction reported in October 2026; compact entry rooms and some open bathroom layouts; late restaurant noise in some pool-facing rooms

  • Location: Walkable to nearby beaches and restaurants; better for the Riviera than central Athens sightseeing.

  • Rooms: Comfortable beds draw praise; Superior rooms measure 22 square meters, so choose category and outlook carefully.

  • Cleanliness: A consistent strength, supported by Booking.com's high cleanliness score and recent Expedia feedback.

  • Service: Friendly, attentive staff and helpful concierge service are recurring highlights across sites.

  • Amenities: Outdoor pool, gym and spa with indoor pool, sauna and steam room; spa wet-area access is restricted to ages 16 and over.

  • Fees and surprises: Seasonal accommodation tax is collected at the property; confirm neighboring construction and room exposure before booking.
