Axel's take: 8.0/10

A good-value city base with helpful staff and breakfast views, but modest rooms. a simple budget city hotel near Antalya’s old town, scored for what it is.

Ayhan is a simple budget city hotel, and a strong pick if you want to explore Antalya rather than spend the day at your hotel. Recent Expedia and Trip.com guests repeatedly praise helpful staff, daily cleaning and the walkable location near Kaleiçi and shopping. Breakfast on the upper-floor terrace, with sea and mountain views, is its standout feature. Overall, it delivers good value without pretending to be luxurious.

The compromises are basic furnishings, some small rooms and bathrooms, and soundproofing that several guests find weak. Wi-Fi is another inconsistent point, so we'd avoid relying on it for work. Although some listings still advertise wellness facilities, Booking.com’s fine print says the spa and gym are unavailable. We'd skip it for a quiet retreat or a facilities-led beach holiday.

  • Best for: budget-conscious city explorers; short sightseeing stays; travelers who prioritize friendly service

  • Watch out for: weak soundproofing; inconsistent Wi-Fi; spa and gym listed as unavailable

  • Location: Walkable for Kaleiçi, central shopping and the marina; a city base rather than a beachfront hotel.

  • Rooms: Air-conditioned and simply furnished; some rooms and bathrooms are small, with variable soundproofing.

  • Cleanliness: Generally praised across recent reviews, although isolated strongly negative reports remain.

  • Service: Helpful, welcoming reception staff are one of the most consistent strengths.

  • Amenities: Breakfast terrace, elevator and free Wi-Fi; Booking.com lists the spa and gym as unavailable.

  • Fees and surprises: Parking information differs between sites; confirm availability and any charge directly before driving.
