Hotels in AnchorageA basic 3-star airport hotel with uneven upkeep
5.9/10
Convenient for the airport, but cleanliness and maintenance make it a compromise.
Wyndham Garden Anchorage Airport is a basic 3-star airport hotel we'd consider for a short stopover, not a longer Anchorage stay. Its strongest points are practical: proximity to the terminals, included breakfast and free parking. Expedia and Trip.com guests repeatedly praise friendly staff, and some describe spacious, clean rooms. But the overall picture is weaker than we'd expect from a dependable mid-range airport hotel.
Recent reviews across Booking.com, Expedia and Trip.com repeatedly mention worn carpets, inconsistent cleaning and faulty bathroom fixtures. The advertised free airport shuttle also draws reports of missed pickups and service interruptions. Guests reported indoor-pool closures earlier in 2026; later reviews describe it operating, so confirm availability rather than assuming. We'd skip it if reliable housekeeping, well-maintained rooms or a guaranteed swim matter more than airport convenience.

Best for: short airport stopovers; travelers prioritizing included breakfast and parking
Watch out for: inconsistent cleaning and worn rooms; airport-shuttle interruptions; confirm indoor-pool availability
Location: About two miles from the airport; better for flight connections than downtown sightseeing.
Rooms: Often described as spacious, but recurring complaints concern worn carpets and malfunctioning fixtures.
Cleanliness: Mixed: clean-room praise sits alongside repeated reports of dirty bathrooms, carpets and entrances.
Service: Friendly front-desk staff are a strength; problem resolution and shuttle coordination are less consistent.
Amenities: Included breakfast, indoor pool, 24-hour gym and laundry; breakfast quality and facility reliability vary.
Fees and surprises: Parking is free; pets cost extra, and the official site says housekeeping is upon request.
