#7 of 9 hotels in Schiphol Airport by Axel's take. Schiphol Airport is #12 of 12 places to stay in Amsterdam. The best hotels in Schiphol Airport, ranked · Where to stay in Amsterdam

Axel's take: 8.2/10

A comfortable airport base with excellent rail access, but service needs more consistency. a modern 4-star business hotel near Schiphol, in Hoofddorp, scored for what it is.

This modern 4-star business hotel in Hoofddorp is a strong pick for airport access without staying at the terminal. Hoofddorp station is a short walk away, with Schiphol one stop on the train. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise comfortable, spacious rooms and helpful staff; Booking.com's strong cleanliness and comfort scores reinforce that picture. We'd choose it for a practical stopover or business trip rather than an atmospheric Amsterdam break.

The trade-offs are inconsistent housekeeping, slow check-in and dining that divides opinion, especially on value. Several Accor guests reviewing in October 2026 also report overnight fire-alarm disruption and poor evacuation communication, which the hotel acknowledges in replies. Breakfast and parking cost extra, and central Amsterdam requires a train journey. We'd skip it if terminal-door convenience or walking straight into city life matters most.

  • Best for: airport stopovers using the train; business travelers; families comfortable staying outside Amsterdam

  • Watch out for: recent overnight fire-alarm complaints; uneven housekeeping and check-in speed; breakfast and parking cost extra

  • Location: Hoofddorp, not central Amsterdam; a short walk to the station and one train stop from Schiphol.

  • Rooms: Generally spacious and comfortable for the class; some recent maintenance and lighting complaints.

  • Cleanliness: Strong overall ratings, tempered by recurring reports of uneven housekeeping.

  • Service: Many guests praise helpful staff, but slow check-in recurs across sites.

  • Amenities: Restaurant, bar, free Wi-Fi and a 24-hour gym; the official facilities list does not advertise a swimming pool.

  • Fees and surprises: Breakfast and parking are extra; October 2026 reviews flag overnight alarms and unclear evacuation guidance.
