#4 of 9 hotels in Canal Ring & Rembrandtplein by Axel's take. Canal Ring & Rembrandtplein is #2 of 12 places to stay in Amsterdam. The best hotels in Canal Ring & Rembrandtplein, ranked · Where to stay in Amsterdam

Axel's take: 8.7/10

A comfortable central base with standout staff, but choose your room carefully. an upscale 4-star city hotel beside the Flower Market, scored for what it is.

This upscale 4-star beside Amsterdam’s Flower Market is a strong pick for exploring on foot without sacrificing hotel comforts. Recent Expedia and Trip.com guests repeatedly praise the helpful staff, clean rooms and generous breakfast, while Booking.com’s overall ratings reinforce the strength of the location. We'd choose it for a sightseeing break: canals, shopping and restaurants are close, and there are larger room options for families.

The trade-off is being in the thick of things. Several guests report street or nightlife noise, although others find their rooms surprisingly quiet; request a quieter room rather than assuming soundproofing will solve everything. Room sizes vary, so check the exact category before booking. Breakfast and parking can add to the bill. We'd skip it if uninterrupted silence or a quieter neighborhood matters more than central convenience.

  • Best for: first-time Amsterdam sightseers; couples exploring on foot; families booking larger rooms

  • Watch out for: street and nightlife noise in some rooms; variable room sizes; breakfast and parking extras

  • Location: Beside the Flower Market and Munt Tower, with shopping, restaurants and public transport nearby.

  • Rooms: Comfortable, contemporary rooms; sizes and noise exposure vary considerably by category and position.

  • Cleanliness: Strong overall cleanliness feedback, with occasional housekeeping lapses rather than a dominant pattern.

  • Service: Helpful, welcoming staff are among the most consistent positives across recent reviews.

  • Amenities: Breakfast buffet, gym, free Wi-Fi and a ground-floor burger restaurant and bar.

  • Fees and surprises: Check breakfast inclusion and city-tax treatment; paid parking should be reserved in advance.
