A comfortable southern base, provided you’re happy commuting to central Amsterdam. a practical 4-star business hotel in residential Amsterdam South, scored for what it is.

NH Amsterdam Zuid is a practical 4-star business hotel, better suited to Zuidas appointments than canal-side wandering. We’d pick it for generous room sizes, comfortable beds and a quieter residential setting. Recent Expedia and Trip.com guests repeatedly praise cleanliness and welcoming staff; breakfast also earns strong feedback. A gym, sauna, restaurant and bar round out a solid rather than luxurious stay.

The main compromise is location: central sightseeing means public transport or taxis, with a walk or bus connection to rail services. Some guests find the rooms dated. NH also says housekeeping is standard every fourth night, with more frequent cleaning available on request. Ongoing Zuidasdok construction around Amsterdam Zuid station warrants checking travel connections. We’d skip it for a short first visit focused on walking between Amsterdam’s main sights.

• Best for: Zuidas business travelers; travelers prioritizing room space; repeat visitors comfortable using transit

• Watch out for: commute to central sights; housekeeping frequency requires attention; Zuidasdok transport disruption

• Location: Residential southern setting near Zuidas; less convenient for sightseeing on foot.

• Rooms: Spacious, comfortable rooms; some recent guests find the interiors dated.

• Cleanliness: Strong overall guest feedback; standard cleaning every fourth night unless requested more often.

• Service: Welcoming, helpful staff are a consistent strength across recent guest reviews.

• Amenities: Restaurant, bar, breakfast buffet, free Wi-Fi, basic gym and sauna.

• Fees and surprises: Paid garage parking, breakfast not always included, card-only payments; check Zuid station works.
