Axel's take: 7.7/10

A practical airport stopover, with compact rooms and shuttle crowds to plan around. a no-frills 3-star airport hotel in Badhoevedorp, scored for what it is.

This is a large, no-frills 3-star near Schiphol, not a terminal hotel or a central Amsterdam base. We'd pick it for a straightforward overnight between flights: recent Expedia and Accor guests repeatedly praise clean rooms, comfortable beds and helpful staff. The free airport shuttle, on-site dining and early breakfast make it useful when convenience matters more than character. There are also public buses nearby for trips into Amsterdam.

The compromises are compact, sometimes tired rooms and uneven temperature control; management confirms that only some rooms have air conditioning. Guests across sites also report crowded shuttles, so check the current timetable and leave a buffer before your flight. Corridor and aircraft noise crop up in reviews, too. We'd skip it for a leisurely city break or if reliable cooling and terminal access on foot are priorities.

• Best for: overnight airport stopovers; travelers catching early flights; short business stays

• Watch out for: crowded shuttles at peak times; air conditioning only in some rooms; compact rooms and occasional noise

• Location: Near Schiphol in Badhoevedorp, with public buses nearby; neither terminal-connected nor central.

• Rooms: Basic and often compact, with comfortable beds; wear, noise and cooling attract recurring complaints.

• Cleanliness: Generally a strength across recent reviews, despite occasional lapses.

• Service: Recent guests mostly praise helpful staff, though problem handling is less consistent.

• Amenities: Free airport shuttle, gym, restaurants and takeaway; Accor lists no pool or spa.

• Fees and surprises: Parking, pets and breakfast can cost extra; confirm shuttle hours and your room's cooling before booking.
