Amsterdam Marriott is a full-service 5-star chain hotel whose strongest luxury is convenience: Leidseplein opposite, Vondelpark nearby, and the major museums within easy walking distance. We'd pick it for a comfortable, practical city break rather than a distinctive Amsterdam stay. Booking.com and Expedia guests repeatedly praise helpful staff, comfortable beds and breakfast. The ground-floor redesign completed in 2025 also gives the lobby, bar and lounge a fresher feel.

The rooms are less consistently convincing. Recent guests describe some dated bathrooms and worn furnishings, while Marriott's own reviews flag housekeeping lapses alongside plenty of praise.
