Hotels in Abu DhabiAn ornate downtown 5-star city hotel, not a beach resort
8.7/10
Strong city-hotel comfort and welcoming service, provided you like the palatial look.
Royal Rose is an ornate downtown 5-star with a French-palace look rather than contemporary luxury styling. It's a strong pick for a comfortable city stay: recent Tripadvisor, Booking.com and Expedia guests repeatedly praise helpful staff, spacious rooms and thorough housekeeping. The rooftop pool and gym add useful downtime between outings, while complimentary valet parking is a practical bonus. We'd choose it for service and comfort rather than waterfront scenery.
The trade-offs are mostly about setting and taste. This is a business-district base, not a beach retreat, and the gilded interiors won't suit minimalists. Breakfast earns plenty of praise, but guests on Booking.com and Tripadvisor mention crowding at busy times. We'd skip it for a resort-focused holiday; for sightseeing, business or a short stopover, it delivers well.
