Axel's take: 7.1/10
A practical downtown base, but room condition and housekeeping can be uneven. A budget-minded 3-star in central Abu Dhabi, scored for what it is.
Nehal is a budget-minded 3-star in central Abu Dhabi, best treated as a practical city base rather than a hotel to linger in. Its Hamdan Street location puts restaurants and shops close by, and Booking.com and Expedia guests regularly praise helpful staff and comfortable beds. Overall guest ratings sit in the good—not outstanding—range. Free Wi-Fi, a complimentary gym, a restaurant and a spa cover the useful basics.
The trade-off is consistency. Several 2025–2026 Tripadvisor and Expedia reviews describe tired furnishings, worn bathrooms and cleaning lapses, alongside plenty of positive stays. Cigarette smells also appear in guest feedback, including for requested non-smoking rooms. Parking costs extra and requires a reservation; breakfast may also be additional. We'd consider it for a short, value-focused city stay, but skip it if fresh interiors and reliably spotless rooms are priorities.
