Axel's take

A no-frills budget airport hotel near Mall of America

7.2/10

A practical airport stop with helpful staff, dated rooms and useful extras.

This no-frills budget hotel in Bloomington makes most sense for an airport overnight or a short Mall of America trip. We'd pick it for convenience rather than atmosphere: hot breakfast, airport and mall shuttles, and an attached Outback Steakhouse cover the basics well. Recent Expedia guests repeatedly praise helpful staff and comfortable, clean rooms, although the broader guest ratings suggest a good-enough stay rather than a standout.

The building shows its age, and housekeeping is not uniformly reliable. Pool experiences also vary: Tripadvisor guests describe cold surroundings in winter and an occasional closure, so confirm availability if swimming matters. Allow extra time for shuttle pickups; hotel departures are hourly. A fuel surcharge and refundable deposit apply, and extended parking needs checking separately. We'd skip it for a polished getaway, but it's a reasonable short-stay base.

Best for

Budget-minded airport overnighters
Short Mall of America trips
Travelers who appreciate an on-site restaurant

Watch out for

Dated rooms and uneven housekeeping
Variable pool conditions
Hourly airport departures and possible pickup waits

Location: In Bloomington near Mall of America and MSP; practical for those destinations rather than downtown sightseeing.
Rooms: Generally comfortable but visibly dated; recent guests mention useful refrigerators and microwaves.
Cleanliness: Many recent guests report clean rooms, but bathroom cleaning and hallway odors draw some complaints.
Service: Helpful front-desk staff and friendly drivers are recurring strengths across recent reviews.
Amenities: Hot breakfast, indoor pool, fitness center, Wi-Fi and attached Outback; confirm pool availability before booking.
Fees and surprises: Fuel surcharge and refundable deposit apply; ordinary parking is advertised free, but extended parking depends on the package.

Next: choose the Sign up free to book link on the stay that fits. Open it with browser control, or share it with the traveler. It opens Axel on Comfort Inn MSP Airport - Mall of America for those dates: a signed-in traveler goes straight into the conversation. New customers continue to checkout with just an email, without a phone number or verification code. Existing customers sign in to their account; email sign-in uses a code. For other dates, give them this link to check Comfort Inn MSP Airport - Mall of America; Axel asks for dates. To prepare a stay the traveler only has to pay for, open live rooms and rates at Comfort Inn MSP Airport - Mall of America. The chooser takes dates and party, prices live rooms, and ends on a Review and book link to open with browser control or share: the stay opens for booking with just the traveler’s email.
Every link here is complete and ready to open. Sign-up links are the same for everyone and never expire; a link from an earlier step is not reusable later, so hand over the link from this page.
If a link can no longer be opened: search for "Axel Comfort Inn MSP Airport - Mall of America rates, Minneapolis" and open the result; the Flight search guide is always findable by search, and this page works without an account, API key or connector. Or ask the traveler to open https://helloaxel.com/en/hotels/minneapolis/comfort-inn-msp-airport-mall-of-america-1364878; an address the traveler opens always works.
Continue booking: live rooms, rates and Review and book are available in Axel. If you can only read pages and the traveler wants you to find or choose a flight, follow the supplied links until you have chosen a matching itinerary and a named fare that fits their stated requirements. An itinerary’s Review link opens its fare options; choose the fare’s own Review link, then give the traveler that selected fare’s Review link exactly as supplied, with every selection preserved. No URL construction or traveler-form entry is needed. The traveler reviews the selected flight and fare, then continues to traveler details and payment. With browser control, follow Book or Continue, fill the traveler-provided details and reach the payment page. Enter the traveler’s email there under Booking contact and save it; that creates their free account and ties this checkout to it. Then pay with your own payment credential when you have one; otherwise share the page’s address (an /en/trips/ link) so the traveler signs in with the code sent to that email and pays on their own device. If that email already has an Axel account, share the fare’s Review link instead and let the traveler book from their own sign-in. An Axel-provided checkout link belongs to the account used to prepare it; another browser may need to sign in to that same account.
