7.1/10
A practical campus base with helpful staff, but uneven room upkeep.
This is a no-frills budget hotel, not a polished three-star stay. We'd consider it for University of Minnesota visits or Gophers games: campus and Huntington Bank Stadium are walkable, light rail is beside the property, and parking is free. Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise the helpful staff. The location and included basics are its strongest reasons to book.
Room condition is the catch. Recent guests describe comfortable, clean rooms alongside recurring complaints about dirty carpets, tired bathrooms and small maintenance faults. Tripadvisor and Expedia reviewers report updated rooms on floors three through six; we'd request one rather than assume every room matches. Wyndham promises only a light breakfast, and guests consistently find the selection limited. We'd skip it if spotless finishes, roomy bathrooms or a substantial breakfast matter more than campus convenience.

Rooms: Guests report updated upper-floor rooms; cramped bathrooms and maintenance faults still recur.
Cleanliness: Many guests find rooms clean, but recent carpet-cleanliness complaints warrant caution.

Amenities: Free light breakfast, Wi-Fi and parking; Wyndham also lists refrigerators and guest laundry.
Fees and surprises: Expedia lists a pet fee and deposit, plus a possible early-check-in charge.
