Ruby Mimi is a design-led 4-star in a former cinema, a few minutes’ walk from Zurich’s main station. It’s a strong pick for short city breaks: you get characterful interiors, a sociable 24-hour bar and easy access to the Old Town. Recent Expedia and Trip.com guests repeatedly praise the location, cleanliness and friendly staff. The movie lounge gives it more personality than a standard station hotel.

The compromise is space and service rather than style. Smaller rooms leave little luggage space, and the open-plan glass showers won’t suit every room-sharing arrangement. Guests across sites also flag missing fridges and in-room kettles; hot drinks are available in shared areas instead.
