Downtown is the straightforward choice when Nashville means live bands, the Ryman and nights that finish whenever you please. Lower Broadway supplies the honky-tonks; Fifth + Broadway adds shopping, food and the National Museum of African American Music. You can build much of a short visit around walking rather than arranging rides.
