South Strip
sports weekends · themed attractions · big resort blocks · family activities
7.3/10
Family attractions and the strongest hotel scores put it first; casinos and event crowds still shape the surroundings.

The South Strip works especially well when your plans revolve around T-Mobile Arena, Allegiant Stadium or family attractions such as Shark Reef Aquarium. Around Tropicana Avenue, themed buildings and big entertainment venues make this unmistakably Vegas. For stadium events, the walking approach across Hacienda Bridge is a useful advantage over staying farther north.
- Best for
- familiessports fans
- Skip it if
- Most of your plans are on the northern Strip; You want an entirely child-focused environment
- Getting around
- Walk to nearby attractions and T-Mobile Arena; use the Deuce, local resort trams or the Monorail terminus northeast of Tropicana Avenue; LAS arrivals can take a taxi/rideshare or Route 109 connecting to the Deuce.
- After dark
- Expect concentrated crowds around arena and stadium events; this remains a casino-and-entertainment district, not a quiet family enclave.
