Ellerslie Road & Edmonton South
suburban stopover · south-side errands · highway connections · low-key evenings
6.9/10
Low-key evenings and strong hotels fit a quieter trip; check room placement because Highway 2 can still bring traffic noise.

Ellerslie Road near 101 Street and Gateway Boulevard is a functional southern stopover, with restaurants and suburban development rather than historic Edmonton. The draw is access south toward YEG, north toward South Edmonton Common and around the outskirts via Anthony Henday Drive. It makes sense when your schedule already belongs on this side of the city.
