Axel's take: 8.7/10
A strong family beach base, with generous villas and some important booking caveats. An upscale beachfront vacation-club resort with two-bedroom villas on Singer Island, scored for what it is.
Marriott’s Oceana Palms is an upscale vacation-club resort, not a conventional luxury hotel. We’d choose it for a family beach trip: two-bedroom villas offer proper living space, full kitchens and laundry, with pools and the beach close at hand. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise clean accommodation, friendly staff and activities; the appeal is practical comfort rather than pampering.
The main caveat right now is Marriott’s enhancement project, scheduled September 13–October 30, 2026, with construction noise possible from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Also check the view category carefully: an April 2026 Expedia guest describes only a sliver of ocean from an ocean-view villa. Parking costs extra, checkout is 10 a.m., and housekeeping is every other day. We’d skip it for a quiet, fully serviced luxury escape, but it’s a strong fit for families who will use the space.
-
Best for: Families wanting two bedrooms; Longer self-catering beach stays; Multigenerational trips
-
Watch out for: Enhancement work through October 30, 2026; Ocean-view villas may have restricted views; Paid parking and 10 a.m. checkout
-
Location: Direct beachfront on Singer Island in Riviera Beach, rather than downtown West Palm Beach.
-
Rooms: Spacious two-bedroom villas with kitchens, laundry and balconies; verify oceanfront versus ocean-view categories.
-
Cleanliness: A consistent strength across guest feedback, despite occasional individual lapses.
-
Service: Friendly, helpful staff earn frequent praise; housekeeping is scheduled every other day.
-
Amenities: Pools, whirlpools, a gym, family activities and casual dining support an easy beach stay.
-
Fees and surprises: Parking is charged, with one vehicle allowed per villa; enhancement work may bring daytime noise through October 30, 2026.
