Axel's take: 7.8/10

A practical downtown base with clean rooms, but leave the car behind. a modern, limited-service 3-star near the convention center, scored for what it is.

This modern, limited-service 3-star is a good pick for a straightforward Washington stay, especially without a car. Booking.com and Expedia guests repeatedly praise clean, comfortable rooms, while recent reviews often credit helpful staff. Included breakfast, in-room microwaves and mini-fridges make it practical for families and longer sightseeing days. The convention center and restaurants are convenient; Metro stations require a walk rather than being right outside.

Parking is the clearest drawback: it costs extra, availability is not guaranteed, and Expedia and Tripadvisor guests describe retrieval hassles, particularly around early departures. Service feedback is less consistent than room-cleanliness feedback, and some guests report street or air-conditioning noise. There is a gym, but no pool or full-service restaurant. We'd choose it for useful basics and location, not polished service or a quiet retreat.

• Best for: car-free sightseeing trips; convention attendees; families wanting breakfast included

• Watch out for: costly, limited valet parking and retrieval hassles; some street and air-conditioning noise; uneven service experiences

• Location: Convenient for the convention center and restaurants; roughly a 10-minute walk to nearby Metro stations.

• Rooms: Modern, generally comfortable rooms with microwaves and mini-fridges; size and noise feedback vary.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across Booking.com, Expedia and recent Trip.com reviews.

• Service: Many guests praise helpful staff, but problem handling and valet coordination are less dependable.

• Amenities: Free breakfast, Wi-Fi and a fitness center; no pool or full-service restaurant.

• Fees and surprises: Valet costs extra and is not guaranteed; confirm early-morning vehicle access. Dogs incur an additional fee.
