Courtyard Waco is a mid-range Marriott hotel whose strongest selling point is its downtown location, beside the convention center and across from the Brazos River. We'd pick it for a straightforward, comfortable base rather than a destination hotel. Expedia and Booking.com guests broadly praise the staff, cleanliness and convenient setting, while free parking adds useful value. Rooms have microwaves and mini-fridges, and there's an outdoor pool and fitness center.

The main catch is that breakfast costs extra: don't assume the usual chain-hotel breakfast is included. Renovation disruption dominates many 2025 reviews, but Marriott now describes the property as fully renovated, and a July 2026 Expedia guest praises the refreshed property and operating pool. We'd skip it if included breakfast or full-service luxury matters more than location and practical comforts.
