#9 of 9 hotels in Belvedere & Hauptbahnhof by Axel's take. Belvedere & Hauptbahnhof is #8 of 10 places to stay in Vienna. The best hotels in Belvedere & Hauptbahnhof, ranked · Where to stay in Vienna

Axel's take: 6.5/10

Useful transport links and good breakfasts, but housekeeping needs more consistency. A basic, dated 3-star near Belvedere and Rennweg station, scored for what it is.

Hotel Enziana Wien is a basic, dated 3-star whose strongest assets are its location and breakfast rather than its rooms. Belvedere is within walking distance, and nearby Rennweg station makes airport connections straightforward. Booking.com’s overall rating is good rather than glowing; Expedia guests frequently praise the breakfast selection and helpful reception staff. We’d consider it for a short, budget-minded sightseeing trip, not a stay built around hotel comforts.

The compromise is inconsistent upkeep. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor reviews include repeated reports of inadequate cleaning, worn furnishings and cramped bathrooms, alongside guests who found everything clean and functional. Rooms lack air-conditioning, and summer guests mention uncomfortable heat; opening windows can bring road noise. We’d skip it if dependable housekeeping, modern rooms or cool, quiet summer nights are priorities.

Best for: Budget-minded city sightseeing; Short stays using airport rail links
Watch out for: Inconsistent housekeeping and worn rooms; No room air-conditioning; Road noise with windows open
Location: Near Belvedere, Rennweg station and tram connections; outside the historic center.
Rooms: Basic and dated, with recurring complaints about small bathrooms and maintenance.
Cleanliness: Mixed: many satisfactory stays, but repeated recent housekeeping failures deserve attention.
Service: Reception often earns praise, though Tripadvisor reports include poor handling of group stays.
Amenities: Free Wi-Fi, bar and a well-liked breakfast buffet; rooms lack air-conditioning.
Fees and surprises: Expedia lists paid breakfast, paid parking and a breakage deposit; confirm booking inclusions.
