Axel's take: 8.8/10

A strong Burnaby base with useful kitchens, comfortable rooms and genuinely helpful staff. a comfortable 3-star extended-stay hotel in Burnaby’s Metrotown, scored for what it is.

This 3-star extended-stay hotel is in Burnaby, not downtown Vancouver, and it makes a strong case for staying outside the center. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise comfortable, spacious rooms and helpful staff; cleanliness also scores well across sources. In-room cooking facilities, included breakfast and an indoor saltwater pool make it especially practical for families and longer stays. Metrotown shopping, groceries and restaurants are nearby, with SkyTrain within walking distance for trips downtown.

The main frustrations are practical rather than fundamental: recent guests on both sites mention elevator waits, while breakfast can get crowded and some find the selection repetitive. Parking costs extra, and Marriott lists housekeeping every other day. We’d choose it for room comfort and everyday convenience, but skip it if downtown sightseeing or nightlife is the whole trip.

• Best for: families who want cooking facilities; longer stays in Burnaby; travelers comfortable using SkyTrain

• Watch out for: elevator waits at busy times; crowded breakfast with limited variety; outside downtown Vancouver

• Location: Walkable to Metrotown shopping and SkyTrain; a Burnaby base rather than a downtown address.

• Rooms: Guests praise space and comfortable beds; check the kitchen setup for your chosen room category.

• Cleanliness: Strong overall feedback, including repeated praise in recent Expedia reviews.

• Service: Helpful, accommodating staff are a consistent strength across recent guest accounts.

• Amenities: Included breakfast, indoor saltwater pool, whirlpool, fitness center and guest laundry.

• Fees and surprises: On-site parking is charged separately; Marriott lists housekeeping every other day and no airport shuttle.
