Hotels in ValparaisoAn upscale oceanfront hotel with convention facilities
8.7/10
A strong oceanfront choice, though the rooms don't quite match the views.
Sheraton Miramar is an upscale oceanfront hotel with convention facilities, and it's a strong pick for a comfortable coastal break. The Pacific views and spacious balcony rooms are the main draw. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the welcoming staff, while Booking.com's strong cleanliness and comfort ratings back up the generally positive picture. A heated indoor pool, outdoor pool, spa and gym give it more substance than scenery alone.
The trade-off is polish: recent guests across sites describe some dated rooms and uneven maintenance, rather than consistently fresh luxury. Parking costs extra. An August 2026 guest reported exterior renovation work; the hotel's advertised outdoor-pool maintenance ended September 14, so confirm current work and pool availability before booking. We'd skip it if contemporary interiors and reliably seamless luxury service matter more than the oceanfront setting.

Best for: couples seeking ocean-view balconies; families wanting pools and spacious rooms; conference travelers extending their stay
Watch out for: dated decor in some rooms; paid parking; confirm renovation work and pool availability
Location: Directly on the waterfront, a short walk from Caleta Abarca Beach, the Flower Clock and Wulff Castle.
Rooms: Spacious ocean-view balcony rooms earn praise for comfort; some guests find the interiors tired.
Cleanliness: Strong aggregate cleanliness ratings outweigh scattered recent housekeeping complaints.
Service: Friendly, attentive staff are a recurring strength, although execution is not uniformly luxury-level.
Amenities: Indoor heated and outdoor pools, spa, gym, restaurant, bar and extensive meeting facilities.
Fees and surprises: Parking is charged; exterior work was reported in August 2026, so verify current disruption.
