Axel's take: 8.2/10

A strong South Tulsa base, with clean rooms and useful full-service extras. A full-service mid-range conference hotel in South Tulsa, scored for what it is.

This full-service mid-range conference hotel is a strong pick for Oral Roberts University visits and South Tulsa business trips. Recent Expedia guests repeatedly praise clean rooms, comfortable beds and helpful staff, while Marriott’s guest ratings also put cleanliness among its strengths. It offers more than the basics: an indoor pool, gym, spa and on-site dining, plus free standard self-parking.

The trade-offs are practical rather than deal-breaking. This is a suburban base, not our choice for a downtown-focused trip without a car. Marriott currently lists Remington’s Sports Bar as closed for renovation and rebranding. Breakfast generally costs extra, and some recent guests describe slow hot water or uneven problem handling, although those reports sit alongside much broader positive feedback. We’d choose it for convenience and facilities, not flawless service.

• Best for: Oral Roberts University visitors; South Tulsa business travelers; Conference and event attendees

• Watch out for: Remington’s Sports Bar closed for renovation; Breakfast usually costs extra; Car useful for downtown sightseeing

• Location: Convenient for ORU and South Tulsa; less suited to a downtown-focused stay.

• Rooms: Recent guests praise comfortable beds and modern rooms; occasional reports mention slow hot water.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across Expedia feedback and Marriott’s guest ratings.

• Service: Mostly praised as friendly and helpful, with some recent complaints about problem handling.

• Amenities: Marriott lists an indoor pool, gym, spa, dining and airport shuttle; confirm shuttle arrangements directly.

• Fees and surprises: Standard self-parking is free; valet, preferred parking and most breakfast options cost extra. Remington’s is temporarily closed.
