Axel's take: 7.7/10
A good pick for views and pool time, less convincing for modern polish. An older full-service hilltop conference hotel, scored for what it is.
Hilton Trinidad is an older full-service conference hotel overlooking Port of Spain, and we'd choose it for the setting rather than sleek interiors. Gardens, private balconies and a generous outdoor pool give it more breathing room than a downtown stay. Recent Expedia guests repeatedly praise clean, spacious rooms and helpful staff; Tripadvisor guests also highlight comfortable beds and welcoming poolside service. It's a good fit for meetings or a relaxed family base.
The trade-offs are aging decor, uneven dining and a hillside location that makes a car or taxis useful. Tripadvisor feedback is noticeably more mixed than Expedia's, particularly on food quality and value. Breakfast costs extra unless your booking includes it, though parking is free. We'd skip it if contemporary rooms, consistently strong restaurants or exploring the city mainly on foot are priorities.
