Axel's take: 8.2/10

A practical Tokyo base with excellent baths, provided you can live with tiny rooms. a compact 3-star business hotel with public baths near the subway, scored for what it is.

Despite the resort name, this is a compact 3-star business hotel with useful extras, not somewhere to expect sprawling rooms. We'd pick it for easy subway access, generally strong cleanliness and the complimentary indoor and open-air public baths. Expedia and Trip.com guests repeatedly praise those baths, while breakfast also earns good feedback. It's a strong fit for solo travelers who spend their days exploring.

The main compromise is space: recent Tripadvisor and Trip.com reviews describe rooms that become awkward for two people with large suitcases. You're near Nishishinjuku-Gochome subway station, rather than beside Shinjuku's main rail hub or nightlife. The hotel also centrally controls heating versus cooling, so you cannot switch modes yourself. As of October 2026, the outdoor swimming pool is closed for the season. We'd skip it for a spacious couples' stay or a full-service resort experience.

• Best for: solo travelers packing light; subway-based sightseeing; travelers who enjoy public baths

• Watch out for: very limited room and luggage space; centrally controlled heating and cooling; outdoor pool closed outside summer

• Location: Excellent access to Nishishinjuku-Gochome subway; less convenient for walking to central Shinjuku.

• Rooms: Compact and functional, but standard rooms can feel cramped for two with large bags.

• Cleanliness: Generally a strength across major booking sites, with consistently positive cleanliness ratings.

• Service: Mostly helpful and efficient; some guests report awkward check-in procedures or communication.

• Amenities: Complimentary indoor and open-air baths, breakfast restaurant, free Wi-Fi and a seasonal outdoor pool.

• Fees and surprises: Breakfast and parking cost extra; early check-in carries a charge, and room climate modes are centrally set.
