#8 of 9 hotels in Marjanishvili & Chugureti by Axel's take. Marjanishvili & Chugureti is #4 of 7 places to stay in Tbilisi. The best hotels in Marjanishvili & Chugureti, ranked · Where to stay in Tbilisi

Axel's take: 7.6/10

Worth considering for the views and location, less convincing for four-star consistency. an independent 4-star city hotel on lively Aghmashenebeli Avenue, scored for what it is.

New Tiflis is an independent 4-star city hotel whose strongest selling points are its lively Aghmashenebeli Avenue setting and city views. We'd consider it for a sightseeing stay, especially in a terrace room. Booking.com and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the location, comfortable beds and views from the upper-floor breakfast room; recent Expedia feedback is particularly positive about staff and cleanliness.

The reservation is consistency, not a lack of appeal. Booking.com and Tripadvisor feedback includes complaints about limited breakfast variety, uneven service and occasional bathroom odors, alongside plenty of happy stays. Street noise also crops up, and room sizes vary: don't assume a standard room delivers the space pictured in the suites. It's a good base for travelers prioritizing restaurants and views, but we'd skip it for guaranteed quiet or polished four-star service.

  • Best for: sightseers who like a lively neighborhood; couples booking a terrace room; families choosing larger room categories

  • Watch out for: street noise in some rooms; uneven breakfast and service feedback; occasional bathroom-odor complaints

  • Location: Restaurants and shops nearby; location is one of the most consistently praised features.

  • Rooms: Comfortable beds and appealing views; sizes vary, and terraces require the appropriate category.

  • Cleanliness: Mostly positive feedback, though some guests report bathroom odors or housekeeping lapses.

  • Service: Many guests praise helpful staff, but problem handling is not uniformly reliable.

  • Amenities: Terrace restaurant, breakfast, free Wi-Fi and 24-hour reception are listed.

  • Fees and surprises: Airport transfers cost extra; confirm breakfast inclusion and cancellation terms for your booking.
