#3 of 6 hotels in Bondi & Eastern Suburbs by Axel's take. Bondi & Eastern Suburbs is #8 of 11 places to stay in Sydney. The best hotels in Bondi & Eastern Suburbs, ranked · Where to stay in Sydney

Axel's take: 8.0/10

A strong Bondi beach base, provided nightlife matters more than early nights. a mid-range boutique hotel above a lively Bondi beachfront bar, scored for what it is.

Hotel Ravesis is a mid-range boutique hotel above a busy beachfront bar, not a quiet seaside retreat. Its 12 individually styled rooms put you across the road from Bondi Beach, with cafés and restaurants close by. Recent Expedia guests repeatedly praise clean, comfortable rooms and friendly staff; Booking.com guests echo those strengths. It's a strong pick for travelers who want beach days and evenings out, with character rather than chain-hotel uniformity.

The main compromise is sleep. The hotel itself warns about late entertainment, especially on weekends, and guests confirm that music and street noise reach rooms. Booking.com and Expedia also currently flag nearby construction, with possible daytime disruption Monday through Saturday. Room layouts and views vary, so choose carefully. We'd skip it for light sleepers or anyone expecting a restful resort-style stay.

  • Best for: beach-and-nightlife weekends; couples who enjoy a lively setting; travelers seeking independent hotel character

  • Watch out for: late bar music and street noise; nearby daytime construction; room layouts and ocean views vary

  • Location: Across Campbell Parade from Bondi Beach, with dining and shopping close by.

  • Rooms: Individually styled rooms; check the exact view, balcony type and any split-level layout.

  • Cleanliness: Strong recent feedback on Expedia and Booking.com for clean, comfortable accommodation.

  • Service: Friendly, helpful staff are a consistent strength in recent guest feedback.

  • Amenities: Bars, dining, live entertainment, free Wi-Fi and beach towels; parking is arranged off-site.

  • Fees and surprises: Paid off-site parking, a damage deposit and card surcharges; nearby construction is currently disclosed.
