Axel's take: 7.3/10

A practical budget stop with helpful staff, but room consistency remains the catch. a no-frills 2-star roadside motel near I-95 and the outlets, scored for what it is.

This no-frills 2-star motel makes more sense for an I-95 stopover than a walkable St. Augustine vacation. We'd consider it for a short budget stay: Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise helpful staff and clean rooms, while free parking, in-room microwaves and refrigerators add practical value. The outdoor pool and on-site IHOP are useful extras, not resort amenities.

The catch is consistency. Recent feedback includes room odors and housekeeping misses alongside plenty of clean, comfortable stays; some guests also flag traffic noise and a rough-looking exterior. Breakfast is not included, and historic downtown requires a drive. We'd skip it for a quiet special occasion or car-free sightseeing, but it's a reasonable overnight option if convenience matters more than polish.

  • Best for: budget-minded road trippers; outlet shoppers with a car; short overnight stays

  • Watch out for: variable room freshness and housekeeping; possible traffic noise; breakfast not included

  • Location: Convenient for I-95 and outlet shopping; historic St. Augustine is roughly six miles away.

  • Rooms: Simple rooms with microwaves and refrigerators; request non-smoking and a ground floor if stairs are difficult.

  • Cleanliness: Many recent guests praise clean rooms, but odors and occasional linen-cleaning misses prevent a stronger endorsement.

  • Service: Friendly, accommodating front-desk staff are a recurring strength across review sites.

  • Amenities: Outdoor pool, IHOP, free Wi-Fi, guest laundry and free parking; no verified indoor pool.

  • Fees and surprises: Breakfast is extra; pets incur a nightly fee and have size limits; upper floors are stairs-only.
