#5 of 9 hotels in St. Augustine Beach by Axel's take. St. Augustine Beach is #4 of 6 places to stay in St. Augustine. The best hotels in St. Augustine Beach, ranked · Where to stay in St. Augustine

Axel's take: 8.0/10

A strong beach base for the money, with paid parking and compact rooms. A simple, motel-style beach hotel with exterior corridors, scored for what it is.

Best Western Seaside Inn is a simple, motel-style hotel across A1A from public beach access—not an oceanfront resort. It's a strong pick for a beach-first stay: recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise clean rooms, helpful staff and the easy walk to sand and restaurants. Included breakfast, an outdoor pool and in-room refrigerators and microwaves make it practical for a straightforward getaway.

The compromises are mostly space and polish. Guests describe some standard rooms as tight, and bathroom sliding doors draw privacy complaints. Paid parking is a recurring irritation, especially when spaces are scarce. Room upkeep gets mixed reports despite the broadly positive cleanliness picture. We'd skip it if you want spacious family accommodation, full-service facilities or the historic district outside your door; otherwise, it delivers well for its class.

  • Best for: Beach-first couples; Short, no-frills getaways; Travelers who value walkable restaurants

  • Watch out for: Paid parking with limited spaces; Compact rooms and bathroom privacy; Across the road, not oceanfront

  • Location: Public beach access across A1A; restaurants nearby, but historic downtown requires a drive.

  • Rooms: Fridges and microwaves are useful; standard rooms can feel tight, with mixed reports on upkeep.

  • Cleanliness: Broadly praised across recent reviews, though occasional housekeeping and maintenance lapses appear.

  • Service: Friendly, helpful staff earn repeated praise; a minority report indifferent problem handling.

  • Amenities: Included breakfast, outdoor pool and Wi-Fi; the hotel confirms there is no fitness center.

  • Fees and surprises: On-site parking costs extra and can fill up; confirm pet charges and restrictions before booking.
