Axel's take: 7.8/10
A good-value downtown base if you can trade modern comforts for location. a historic, no-frills 2-star near Pike Place Market, scored for what it is.
The Moore is a historic, no-frills 2-star whose strongest selling point is Seattle on your doorstep: Pike Place Market and Westlake light rail are a short walk away. We'd pick it for a budget-conscious city break, not a hotel-centered getaway. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests broadly praise the clean rooms, comfortable beds and helpful staff; recent Tripadvisor reviews reinforce that picture. The coffee shop and Mexican restaurant off the lobby are useful extras.
The trade-offs are substantial but clear: the building has no air-conditioning, rooms look dated, and street or neighboring Moore Theatre noise can disturb sleep. Check your room category carefully: Euro rooms share bathrooms down the hall, while standard rooms have private bathrooms. We'd skip it if you're heat-sensitive, a light sleeper or expecting modern chain-hotel polish.
