Axel's take: 8.2/10

A smart business base with clean rooms, but service can be uneven. a modern, business-focused 4-star in Denny Triangle, scored for what it is.

This modern, business-focused 4-star in Denny Triangle is a strong pick for convention trips and South Lake Union work visits. Expedia and Trip.com guests repeatedly praise clean rooms, comfortable beds and helpful staff. The minimalist design feels fresh, and the gym and lobby lounge cover the essentials without making this a full-service luxury hotel.

The trade-offs are operational rather than cosmetic. Recent Tripadvisor reviews describe understaffing, missed housekeeping and valet delays, although positive service reports remain plentiful. Some rooms feel compact, and Marriott guest feedback flags limited bathroom privacy from sliding glass doors. Breakfast and valet parking cost extra; Pike Place Market and the Space Needle are walks rather than doorstep attractions. We'd skip it if you want generous space, dependable daily housekeeping or a waterfront setting.

• Best for: convention attendees; South Lake Union business travelers; couples comfortable with minimalist rooms

• Watch out for: uneven housekeeping and valet service; limited bathroom privacy; breakfast and parking cost extra

• Location: Convenient for the Summit convention building and tech offices; farther from waterfront sightseeing.

• Rooms: Modern and comfortable, but some categories feel compact; sliding bathroom doors compromise privacy.

• Cleanliness: Strong overall ratings across sites, tempered by some recent reports of missed or incomplete cleaning.

• Service: Helpful staff earn frequent praise, but recent reviews also describe staffing gaps and slow follow-through.

• Amenities: Gym, breakfast restaurant, cocktail lounge and EV charging; Marriott says no airport shuttle.

• Fees and surprises: Breakfast and valet parking are extra; pets are allowed with a nonrefundable fee, contrary to the catalog.
