Axel's take: 8.2/10

Spacious suites and standout staff make up for an aging property. a full-service, all-suite mid-range hotel beside TPC Scottsdale, scored for what it is.

This full-service, all-suite mid-range Marriott is a strong pick for North Scottsdale business trips, golf and WestWorld events. Its biggest advantage is space: separate bedrooms and living areas make longer stays and family trips easier. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise welcoming staff, comfortable beds and clean rooms. The heated outdoor pool, golf-course views and Agave restaurant add appeal without making this a luxury resort.

The trade-off is condition rather than comfort: dated interiors and maintenance niggles recur across sites, although most guests remain positive. Aircraft noise also gets mentions, so light sleepers should weigh that. Parking costs extra, and complimentary in-room Wi-Fi has booking and membership conditions. We'd choose it for room to spread out and helpful service, but skip it for fresh design or a walk-everywhere Scottsdale break.

• Best for: golfers visiting TPC Scottsdale; WestWorld and business travelers; families wanting separate living space

• Watch out for: dated interiors and occasional maintenance issues; aircraft noise; paid parking and conditional free Wi-Fi

• Location: Convenient for TPC Scottsdale and WestWorld; the suburban setting favors driving, with a local shuttle available.

• Rooms: Two-room suites offer generous space and comfortable beds, but furnishings and bathrooms can feel dated.

• Cleanliness: Strong overall cleanliness ratings and frequent praise outweigh scattered complaints about mustiness and upkeep.

• Service: Friendly, accommodating front-desk, valet and restaurant staff are the most consistent strength.

• Amenities: Heated outdoor pool, cabanas, gym and Agave restaurant; the local shuttle operates first come, first served.

• Fees and surprises: Parking and pets carry fees; Marriott specifies free in-room Wi-Fi for Bonvoy members booking direct. Confirm any destination fee and inclusions.
